Getting Out from Under

I have not posted recently, I have not sent out boxes to my fellow swappers, I've barely knit. I get up in the morning, go to work , WORK all day , go home and jump into bed.
In the last few weeks, Bob would have had his 58th birthday, we would have celebrated out 25 Wedding Anniversary and I have so many memories of first dealing with his terminal illness at this time last year and one of my aunts died. The work at my house has hit a depressing snag and I've been feeling sad and over whelmed.
Yesterday, my son called me and asked if my daughter and I would come down to the beach to be there for Father's Day with him. I guess I had planned to say home and be sad. Well, I went swimming, got sunburned, had a nice dinner within my points(WW) and spent the day surronded by my family and my kids' friends. I need to get back to doing things which make me feel good. SO if I owe you a box or anything else I'll try to get it all done this week!!!!!!

Bless your dear heart, Frances! I am so sorry that you have to deal with sad things...life has a way of sometimes surpressing us. Then, all of a sudden, someone sends us a little wakeup call (in this case, your wonderful son!) and we can see that life does not have to be full of sadness or even mundane. It know I have not had to deal with death, but this paraplegia thing is sometimes as hard as death, as I watch life kind of slipping past me and I am left feeling helpless...as though I myself am immobilized by Mark's condition. There are so many dreams...so many things, I have had to let go..so many aspirations, desires. But, in the meantime, I have become a more creative person...perhaps even a better person because I have gone through this. I know that there are others who have endured much worse...We can make it, Frances. And, we can do well, too! After all, God has blessed us in many ways and when we begin to count those blessings, we suddenly realize we are wealthy beyond belief. Not $$$ wise, but in ways immeasurable! God bless you, Frances! You are one terrific woman! AND, you have two terrific kids!!!!!
